Donn M. Fuller has spent the past year exploring options in the market after a four-year run as senior vice president in Dallas for the New York City-based ING Clarion. Fuller tells GlobeSt.com that he talked with several corporations in the past year, but "this is the one that intrigued me. It's a new side of the business for me." And says the veteran, it's a job that "I can do forever."
Weitzman, rebuilding his team, tapped an executive with connections to some of the nation's wealthiest investors. "I think my wealth of contacts on a national basis is what they were looking for," Fuller says of the quickly sealed deal.
During his stint at ING Clarion, Fuller was responsible for managing and leasing 3.5 million sf of retail assets. His last task was to dispose of the retail portfolio. "When I sold the last one, I left," he says, adding he looked only at national corporations until Herb Weitzman, a friend for nearly two decades, broached the idea at the ULI dinner meeting.
From 1978 to 1998, Fuller worked for MEPC American Properties, ending his tenure as its executive vice president and COO. He also worked as MEPC's senior vice president and CFO and vice president of finance and administration.
