Omnicom International Inc. is unpacking at 1800 Jay Ell Dr. in Richardson after exiting a neighboring 15,000-sf spot along Firman Drive, Robert Fulford II, vice president with Grubb & Ellis Co., tells GlobeSt.com. The lease was signed and the move immediately started into ready-to-go space darkened a year ago by Flextronics Corp., a Singapore-based high-tech operation that's been downsizing the Texas footprint for nearly two years.
The building, once fully leased to Flextronics, still has 50,000 sf left to fill. The quoted rent is $4.50 per sf.
Fulford and partner, Gary Lindsey, senior vice president, are courting a couple other deals that would significantly cut into the vacancy in the fully air-conditioned property, owned by San Francisco-based Rreef. Bob Hagewood and Bo Bond with the Staubach Co. in Dallas negotiated the terms for the locally based Omnicom.
