The 2004 recipients are:

* Adrian Dominican Sisters Holy Rosary Chapel Renovation, Adrian, owned by Adrian Dominican Sisters and designed by DiClemente Siegel Design Inc., of Southfield. Krieghoff-Lenawee Co. is the contractor. The renovation of the 1907 Prairie Gothic brick structure allowed the Adrian Dominican Sisters to retain the history and function of the chapel, which serves as the spiritual core of their religious complex, while updating the physical plant and making it more user friendly for their aging population.

* Consumers Energy Headquarters in Jackson, owned by Consumers Energy and designed by SmithGroup of Ann Arbor and Neumann/Smith & Associates of Southfield. Granger Construction of Lansing is the contractor. The $65-million project consolidated Consumers Energy employees from three separate locations into one headquarters building in Downtown Jackson.

* Ford Rouge Factory Tour Visitor Center in Dearborn, owned by Ford Motor Land Development Corp. and designed by HarleyEllis of Southfield. Walbridge Aldinger of Detroit is the contractor. Officially opened in May, the 45,000-sf, $13.5-million, two-story visitor center includes two multi-sensory theaters, numerous touch screen interpretive and hands-on displays and an 80-foot tall observation platform.

* Quarton Lake Restoration project, owned by the city of Birmingham and designed by Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. of Bloomfield Hills. Restoration Dredging of Bloomfield Hills is the contractor. The restoration of the 13.2-acre impoundment of the Rouge River, known as Quarton Lake, was performed to improve water quality that had been seriously impaired by 30 years of sediment and pollution deposition.
