This compares to multifamily units running at 48.6% in 2003, 43.7% in 2002, 41.5% in 2001 and 37.5% in 2000. In June 2004, there were a total of 1,078 permits issued for 1,731 planned units at a value of $298 million, 2% behind the year-ago month's 1,101 permits, 2% behind the year-ago 1,766 planned units and 3% higher than the value of $290 million.

For planned units in June, Rogers took first place with 126 units, Ramsey came in second with 115 units, Blaine dropped to third with 110, Woodbury followed in fourth with 101 and Maple Grove rounded out the top five with 80. The information is compiled for the Builders Association of the Twin Cities by Keystone Report, a Chanhassen-based research firm.
