Mortenson has built more than one million sf of medical facilities in the metro area during the past five years, notes Tim Walsh of Mortenson. The Far Western Addition will be a 204,000-sf addition to the main hospital, located on Delaware Avenue off Speer Boulevard.
It will include a pharmacy and support spaces on the garden level, clinic space on the main level, in-patient pediatrics and pediatric intensive care units on the second level, labor and delivery and neonatal intensive care units on the third level and mom/baby in-patient rooms on the fourth level. The project architect is Boulder Associates, in association with Gresham Smith Partners.
