The leasing efforts by Zifkin Realty & Development, which represents MCL Companies, also includes a 11,690-sf deal with Deerfield-based pharmacy giant Walgreens Co., which has the River East neighborhood on its agenda to open 450 stores this year. Joining Walgreens on the first floor will be Harris Bank, which is opening a 4.078-sf branch.
The Lucky Strike is already in Chicago at 2747 N. Lincoln Ave. and 1055 E. 55th St., says Lucky Strike owner Steve Soble, with another opening planned in west suburban Elmhurst in August.
The new tenants join a retail roster that includes a 21-screen AMC movie theatre, P.J. Clark's restaurant, and Holmes Place Health Club. Lucky Strike plans to open its second-floor lounge featuring bowling lanes along with a full-service restaurant and bar early next year.
President and principal Edward M. Zifkin and executive vice president Tyler Quast handled negotiations with Lucky Strike Lanes, while Quast flew solo in talks with Walgreens. Northern Realty Group executive vice president Mike Shields represented Harris Bank.
