Karim Sachedina says he'll be gone for a couple weeks, return to the Dallas headquarters for a few days and go out again. "The majority of the properties are running very, very efficiently," he says. "I will be meeting the property managers, looking at the competition and analyzing where we are."

Sachedina, who was CFO for Boykin Management Co. of Cleveland, now reports to Mark Sharkey, Remington's COO. "Our operations team is poised to readily accept new assets to our portfolio," Sharkey says in a press release. "Under Karim's leadership, we expect our keen attention to detail in this fiercely competitive operating environment will be greatly enhanced."

Sachedina, with 20 years in the industry, was one of two veterans to come on board at Remington in recent weeks. Julie A. Reigle was named senior vice president of sales and marketing. She was employed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts Corp of Arlington, IL, beginning in 1980 and rising through the ranks to vice president of sales. Reigle's charge is to develop and implement revenue-generation strategies to grow market share across the board.

"The company is growing," Sachedina tells GlobeSt.com about the new team being built. "There could be more hired as we go forward."
