Brighton Pavilions is a $17-million, 14-acre development with new retail, entertainment and transportation choices in this once sleepy Downtown. Brighton Pavilions, a public-private partnership, will include 33,000 sf of new shops and restaurants and a 12-screen Colorado Cinemas movie theater. City officials see it as a key transportation hub and retail center.

The development is a venture between Brighton Urban Development, the Brighton Economic Development Corp., the Brighton Urban Renewal Authority, the City of Brighton and the Regional Transportation District. The RTD is involved because this will be the first Brighton development to center around a Park-n-Ride transit project. It provides a model for future transit-oriented developments in the region, according to officials.

The new development will feature a pedestrian-oriented boulevard, outdoor plazas, a central clock tower, water features and extensive landscaping. The development is on Egbert Street, just west of Main Street, two blocks south of Bridge Street.
