Target will build its own 143,000-sf Target Greatland on 10 acres of the 25-acre site off Route 29, and Harris Teeter will open its doors at a 60,000-sf leased space under a 20-year agreement with developers Regency Centers and Dierman Realty Group. Space at the shopping center is being leased in the mid-$20 per-sf range, a spokesperson for the development team tells GlobeSt.com.

As for Target, its arrival at Hollymead will mark the chain's debut in Charlottesville, home of the University of Virginia. "Bringing Target to the Charlottesville area is long overdue," notes Regency Centers vice president of investments Taylor O. Chess. Additional national as well as local shops, restaurants and boutiques are expected to join the tenant roster. "We believe Hollymead Town Center will provide an innovative mix of Main Street shopping and regional retailers that will offer something for everyone."
