In the largest transaction, Avalon Carpet & Tile, a distributor and installer of commercial and residential floor coverings, has renewed and expanded, adding more than 12,000 sf to bring its occupancy at 2030 Springdale Rd. to 44,830 sf. According to Tom Green, a leasing rep in First Industrial's local office, Avalon started with 14,660 sf at the 89,000-sf facility in 1998. The latest expansion involves additional warehouse space.
In the second transaction, Dunkin Donuts has taken 6,321 sf at the 45,000-sf 2060 Springdale Rd., where is will establish a new retail store and bakery. NAI Mertz Corp. represented the tenant.
