The hospital is on a 82-acre site and is designed in a pad shapewith three wings, offering the hospital views of the city lights, Black Forest and the mountains. This "hospital of the future," as it is called by officials, will be filled with art, music and natural light is designed to provide a full range of state of the art diagnostic and treatment services with an emphasis on the healing environment and family-centered care. This is the first of a planned three buildings on the site with an expected completion in 2007.
