The first major expansion wave sets up a second in command for GLV's president, James S. Vanderslice. Michael J. Hueppeler dissolved his company, IMMO Capital, for the senior vice president's seat. Other newcomers are Michael B. Finley, previously a real estate analyst with Integra Realty Resources, who's been hired as financial analyst and Roger W. Woodside, who's exited as vice president of Pinnacle Commercial LLC for an assistant vice president's job at GLV. Start dates were staggered over the past month.

"It got to the point that we had to add. I needed help," Vanderslice tells GlobeSt.com. "We're going to continue adding very quickly." He says four more area professionals will be on board before the year ends.

Hueppeler is carrying a black book seeded by 22 years at Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc., where he and Vanderslice both rose to senior executive levels with long-term stints at the company.

As the expansion plays out, Vanderslice is looking for inroads into San Francisco, Boston and Chicago. He's planning the next office opening for San Francisco, but wants to land an assignment before hanging a shingle. Vanderslice says he's talking with one senior executive in the Bay Area to plant the GLV flag.

The Dallas-based GLV Realty is the tenant representation arm for the Gaedeke Group, which leases and manages acquisitions of Gaedeke Holdings. To date, the Gaedeke Group portfolio spans 8.5 million sf in 15 markets.
