Glenn P. Walsh, senior director, and Larry Ruggieri, associate, of Cushman represented building ownership, Metropolitan Life, as exclusive leasing agents. Charles Chan of real estate brokerage Harvest International represented Minado.
"Demand for quality restaurants that offer quick service is very strong in White Plains," says Cushman's Walsh. "Because so many firms are moving to White Plains, we expect that Minado will thrive at White Plains Plaza."
Minado, which features Japanese food and a high-end sushi buffet, also operates locations in Manhattan; Parsippany, NJ; Little Ferry, NJ; Carle Place, NY; Atlanta and Natick, MA. The Minado deal comes less than a month after Cushman & Wakefield reported more than 60,000 sf of lease deals had been signed of late at White Plains Plaza's 445 Hamilton Ave. and One North Broadway buildings, which total approximately 750,000 sf.
Recently, leases were signed by law firm Keane & Beane for 26,356 sf at 445 Hamilton Ave.; Stark Business Solutions for 7,200 sf on the 11th floor at 445 Hamilton Ave.; law firm Seham, Seham, Meltz and Petersen LLP, for 5,570 sf on the 12th floor at 445 Hamilton; a local software company leased 10,500 sf on the 11th floor of 445 Hamilton Ave.; law firm Himmelfarb & Sher leased 5,200 sf on the eighth floor at One North Broadway; law firm Cohen Timko & Moses leased 3,560 sf on the fourth floor at One North Broadway and Ridgemour Holdings leased 3,020 sf on the fourth floor at One North Broadway.
