The 25-story property will feature a total of 225 rooms and 40 luxury condo residences, according to Michael Barry, a principal of the locally based Applied. The asset is being designed by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates.

Scheduled to open in September 2006, the W Hoboken will be the fourth of its type combining hotel rooms and residential condos. The first three are in Scottsdale, AZ, Fort Lauderdale, FL and Dallas. Overall, it will be the 26th in the brand's portfolio.

"Condominium owners will have all of the benefits of being attached to a W Hotel," according to Barry. "That includes full use of all facilities, as well as the option to have 24-hour room service, daily maid service and concierge services."
