Kmart announced earlier this week that it had finalized its agreement with The Home Depot Inc. to sell the home-improvement retailer 18 stores for $271 million. In addition to the locations named Wednesday, the deal includes a store in Houston that already is closed, as well as stores in New Milford, CT; Champaign, IL; Hanover and Broomall, PA; Tempe, AZ; Levittown, NY; Huntington Beach, Orange, Seaside and Thousand Oaks, CA; and Coconut Grove and Jacksonville Beach, FL. The location of the 18th store has not yet been made public, Pagnani adds.
