The previous record was $65.8 million set in August 2003. The July total was up almost 11.1% from the $60.6 million in AGP posted in June and up 9% form the $61.7 million collected in July 2003. AGP is the amount wagered by bettors less payouts from casinos.

Black Hawk's 21 casinos posted a record $47.7 million in AGP in July, topping the previous record of almost $47.1 million in August 2003. The July total was up 11.18% from the $42.9 million in June and up 8.6% from the $43.9 million in July 2003.

Cripple Creek's 19 casinos finished in second place, with $15 million in AGP in July, eclipsing the previous record of $14.2 million in August 2003. The July mark was up from $13.2 million in both the previous month and the previous year. Central City's five casinos tallied $4.4 million in AGP, relatively flat from the previous month and the previous year.

In July, Black Hawk's casinos accounted for 70.9% of the state wide market.
