"We invested considerable time and effort evaluating the best location for our company within the New York-Boston corridor," says Vikram K. Desai, president and chief executive officer of Kavado. "Stamford delivered a unique blend of powerful advantages, including unparalleled access to air, rail and ground transportation; close proximity to the headquarters of current and prospective Fortune 500 customers and the ability to draw from a great talent pool as our business and workforce needs expand."

According to the company's website, Kavado currently employs 50 workers. In addition to its corporate headquarters in Stamford, the company also houses its research-and-development operations in Israel, its European headquarters in London as well as other locations in France and Asia.

Meredith T. Siburn, associate director of Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut, represented Kavado along with the Staubach Co. of New York City. "Thanks to today's advanced communication technology, companies no longer need to have a presence in Manhattan," points out Siburn. "Kavado is the perfect example of a forward-thinking company that is taking advantage of the lifestyle, unparalleled labor pool and business resources offered in Stamford. Indeed, the company will undoubtedly have better access to its target clients."
