Veteran Broker Closes Deal for New Job

Randy Wood, well known in Dallas/Fort Worth industrial circles, is now part of the ProLogis team, exiting First Industrial Trust after two-year run. Wood's territory will be northwest Dallas. First Industrial's lead in Dallas didn't return telephone calls seeking comment on Wood's departure.

Wood tells GlobeSt.com that talks began in mid-July with the Aurora, CO-based ProLogis' Dallas director, Robert Huthnance. The amicable split from the Chicago-headquartered First Industrial was a matter of pragmatics, Wood explains. "All of us did a good job at getting stuff leased up. It was the opportunity to lease more space," says the longtime broker who had his own shop before joining First Industrial. The move to ProLogis connects Wood, given senior leasing status, to more than 18 million sf of flex and industrial product in Dallas/Fort Worth.
