SCOTTSDALE, AZ-After winning a new contract, call center outsourcing company Phase 2 Solutions Inc. has leased 55,000 sf for a new call center at 4611 E. Baseline Rd.

The seven-year lease is worth about $5 million, says Kevin Calihan, a senior associate with CBRE's Phoenix office, who brokered the deal with executive vice president Tom Adelson. Karsten Peterson with Trammell Crow Co.'s Phoenix office represented the building owner, TC Baseline Group.

Calihan tells GlobeSt.com that Phase 2 Solutions is going through a rapid expansion that requires new space. The company conducted a national site search before deciding on Phoenix. "Phase 2 liked the real estate in Phoenix and also the labor pool," he says. The Baseline Road call center is Phase 2's second call center in the Phoenix Valley although it has multiple call centers throughout the world.

Calihan added the Phoenix-based company had its eye on the single-story, class A building for several months. TC Baseline Group bought the call center facility, which boasts a parking ratio of 10 per 1,000, from the May Department Stores Co. earlier this year. May closed the facility about a year ago, Calihan says. As part of the deal, TC Baseline Group is paying all furniture and fixtures, he adds.
