Town Center Fitness will have a prime location on the second floor, just above the Red Star Tavern Terms of the exercise facility's lease with property developer Armada/Hoffler have not been released, but retail space at the popular destination comes at a premium; acting on behalf of the developer, Divaris Real Estate Inc. markets the retail space for $25 to $35 per-sf.

"Having a fitness center so centrally located within the Town Center of Virginia Beach will enhance the workers' attitudes and morale, which will add a new dimension to the employees' day," notes Divaris chairman and CEO Gerald Divaris.

Other retailers who have signed on for occupancy at Town Center include the Cheesecake Factory, which committed to a 12,000-sf space under a 20-year lease, and sports entertainment store Galyans Trading Co., which occupies an 84,000-sf space.
