HOUSTON-Nissan Chemical has decided to stay put for another five years in One Westchase Center at 10777 Westheimer Rd., signing a renewal for 3,063 sf of class A office space. Just last week, the Dallas-based Granite Properties bought the holding from Prentiss Properties Acquisition Partners LP.
The previous owner, also from Dallas, had its in-house local broker, Pauline Macho, negotiate the terms while Rollin Andre and Mark H. Wood with Henry S. Miller Commercial's Houston office represented the tenant. Andre tells GlobeSt.com that the lease's consideration totals $308,959.
Located in the Westchase complex, one of the finest in Houston, the building was constructed in 1985. Andre tells GlobeSt.com that Nissan Chemical execs looked at other buildings, but "decided that it is in their best interest to just stay where they are." He says the firm is coming off its first five-year lease in the building, now 75% leased. "They are a company that has been around for a long time and didn't really want any changes," he adds. The Westchase office is Nissan Chemical's only location in the area.
