James P. Vesey, senior director of the Philadelphia office of Cushman & Wakefield, represented the seller, Dunwoody Associates LP, a locally based partnership, in the transaction. The property is a three-story, class A facility with a two-story glass atrium with terrazzo floors and a cherry wood finish. It overlooks a landscape of rolling hills and a pond.
The facility is currently 100% leased to ING/Golden America, a US affiliate of Amsterdam-based ING. It is a Fortune Global 100 company created during a merger of Equitable Life Insurance of Iowa and Golden American Life Insurance Co.
Downingtown-based J. Loew & Associates and its affiliate, E. Kahn Development Corp., constructed the building in 1999. In addition to the Glenloch campus, J. Loew owns and manages numerous office, industrial and retail properties in Chester County. Through its respective affiliates, Southdown Homes, Regency Abstract and Agrostis Golf Management, it is also a luxury home builder, provider of title settlement and insurance, and manager of four golf courses in Chester and Bucks counties.
