National Economic Research Associates, which does business as NERA Economic Consulting, occupies space on the 14th floor of the building, which is part of Mack-Cali's 489,000-sf Westchester Financial Center, located across the street from the White Plains train station.

The transaction was a collaboration between the New York City and Connecticut offices of CB Richard Ellis. Dean Shapiro, Robert Caruso and Colin Reilly of CBRE's Stamford office worked closely with Mary Ann Tighe, Craig Reicher and Tim Dempsey of the firm's Manhattan office in representing NERA during the negotiations. Since the deal closed, Shapiro has been named executive managing director and leader of CB Richard Ellis' Midtown Manhattan office. Mack-Cali Realty Corp., owner of the property, was represented by executive vice president Michael Grossman and Ivan Abry.

"This deal is a tremendous boost to a revitalized Downtown White Plains, which over the past six months has seen a flurry of significant renewals and expansions," Shapiro says. The new lease deal is a small expansion of its offices at 50 Main St., which previously totaled 31,514 sf of space.

NERA Economic Consulting has 16 offices worldwide and 525 employees, including 400 economists. Locally, in addition to its White Plains office, the firm, which was founded in 1961, has an office location on the 34th floor of 1166 Ave. of the Americas in Manhattan. Its third New York State office is located in Ithaca at 308 North Cayuga St.
