"The Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau says this group will have a high demand for restaurants, especially for evening dining," says Nancy A. Burkhart, executive director of LoDo District Inc. And she notes from Oct. 10-15, about 8,000 members of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists also will be holding a convention in Downtown.

"They, too, are requesting that restaurants be ready for them," Burkhart says. "They plan to go to dinner between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Let's plan ahead."

If the geophysicists spend at the same rate as the financial planners, it could have an economic impact of $12.6 million.
