Keevily, Spero-Whitelaw Inc. will relocate its headquarters to space on the fourth floor of 500 Mamaroneck Ave., a 285,000-sf office building located between the Hutchinson River Parkway and I-95. Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of W&M Properties, the marketing and managing agent for the building, announced the long-term lease deal for space that was formerly occupied by AT&T. W&M Construction will build out the fourth-floor offices.
"After looking at a few alternative spaces for our headquarters, we chose 500 Mamaroneck Ave. because of its excellent location and superb quality," says Thomas F. McEvily III, president of Keevily, Spero-Whitelaw.
The firm provides insurance brokerage services for individuals, small businesses and corporations and has 55 employees. The company also operates a branch office in Buffalo.
W&M's Newman was assisted by JoAnn B. McGrath, the company's vice president of leasing and marketing, and by leasing associate Kimberly Zaccagnino. Keevily, Spero-Whitelaw was represented by Peter J. Sweetser, associate, and Christopher B. O'Callaghan, senior vice president, of Albert B. Ashforth Inc. of Stamford, CT.
W&M has been marketing the nearly 100,000 sf of AT&T space since the company vacated the property earlier this year. The telecommunications firm is still paying rent on a portion of its leased space at 500 Mamaroneck Ave.
"All that remains of AT&T's former space is a 10,000-sf block on the fifth floor, and a 36,000-sf block on the fourth floor," Newman notes, adding that of the remaining 46,000 sf to be leased, a good portion of the space is in various stages of negotiation with prospective tenants.
