Pollard Galipp with Cypressbrook Co. in Houston tells GlobeSt.com that Direct Tech inked a short-term., office/warehouse lease for 16770 Hedgecroft Dr. to get extra room until the deal is done for a fourth quarter relocation to another Greenspoint submarket building. The move will take place "a year or two" before the existing pact's expiration, but Galipp says the new deal will amply cover the cost. When the shuffling is done, Direct Tech will have 100 employees in place and more on the way, he says.
Galipp says Direct Tech Southwest, based in Shreveport, LA, is expanding to accommodate a business plan change by Direct TV. He says the going-forward plan is to eliminate installations by retailers.
Direct Tech has occupied space in the six-building Greenbriar North park at least five years. The industrial project is owned by Houston Industrial Assets LP of San Francisco, which was represented at the bargaining table by John Stavinoha of Insite Realty in Houston.
