Highgrove will consist of 83 luxury units in a 16-story building and two adjoining street level townhomes. The project will feature a variety of two-, three- and four-bedroom units, with the largest unit totaling approximately 3,500 sf. Residences at the development will range in price from $850,000 to $2 million.

"We are offering an unparalleled level of quality in amenities and architectural design that is unique to this market," says Jason Schlesinger, president of Ceebraid-Signal Corp. "Highgrove will appeal to both empty-nesters and young professionals."

The project is being designed by noted architect Robert AM Stern, whose blueprint for Highgrove in Stamford is a reinterpretation of the centuries old Highgrove House, which is the residence of Prince Charles in Gloucestershire, England.

Some of the more unique amenities the building will have include: 24-hour concierge and doorman, valet parking, health club, sauna/steam room, pool with spa, lounge and a library for entertaining. Residents will have their own private screening room and a wine cellar. The wine cellar will have individual climate controlled and secure coolers with three temperature zones for red and white wine and champagne and a seating area, officials with Ceebraid-Signal say. Every unit will have at least one terrace or balcony.

"The architecture of Highgrove is unlike anything we've seen in residential development in Stamford or any other suburban market in this region. Stern has designed a truly classic building that evokes the elegance and style of a grand Park Avenue residence," Schlesinger says.

Stern adds, "Highgrove, reflecting the elegance of classic New York pre-war apartment houses, is designed to bring sophisticated urban living to Fairfield County. We intend this building to be a powerful catalyst in the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Stamford."

Prior to the start of construction, the developer will have to demolish a garden apartment rental community it owns at the site. Ceebraid-Signal's portfolio includes luxury condominium developments in Boca Raton and Palm Beach, both in Florida. Its New York City developments include the Lofts at 20th Street in Chelsea and the Gramercy Mews brownstones. In Stamford, the company developed the Chesterfield condominium development.
