GlobeSt.com confirmed the sale, but Clearview Investments' execs aren't discussing the turnaround plan for a box that went dark nearly four years ago at 4817 W. Park Blvd. beside Preston Towne Center in Plano. Kite acquired the 7.9-acre holding, assessed at $5.7 million by Collin County, in January 2003 from the Dayton-Hudson Corp., tax records show.
At one time, Magellan's Furniture Emporium of Nashville was reported to be the backfill, but the deal fell out. Word is Clearview too has a tenant in hand to light the building. More details about the trade are sure to surface as Clearview, known for staying quiet about its deals, undertakes the turnaround plan. According to local contacts, the Retail Connection and Venture Commercial Real Estate LLC, both Dallas-based firms, were running the deal.
