The lease, which covers the entire freestanding building, carries a five-year term, according to Scott I. Kupersmith, associate director in the Rochelle Park, NJ office of the Studley organization. Kupersmith represented Room & Board in the transaction, while the owner of the building, Forsgate Industrial Complex, was represented in-house by Andrew Moss. Further terms of the lease were not disclosed.
The space, located in the Meadowlands submarket, will support Room & Board's initial store slated to open early next year in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, and subsequent locations there. The retailer will move into 300 Carol Pl. next month in advance of the retail store opening.
