Adjusted gross proceeds, or AGP, is the amount wagered by bettors less payouts from casinos. Black Hawk's 21 casinos generated $44.2 million in AGP in August, down from $47.7 million in July and $47 million in August of last year. Cripple Creek's 19 casinos produced $13.4 million in AGP in August, down from $15 million in July and $14.2 million in August 2003. Central City's five casinos totaled $4.8 million in AGP in August, which was up from the $4.4 million in both the previous months and August 2003.

In August, Black Hawk casinos accounted for 70.7% of the statewide market. Cripple creek casinos accounted for 21.5% and Central City casinos accounted for 7.8%. Casinos statewide paid $4.5 million in gaming tax proceeds in August.
