Hunton & Williams has committed to expand and relocate within the building and will now occupy approximately 140,000 sf of space encompassing the entire 51st, 52nd and 53rd floors. In addition, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, currently located on three full floors, will expand onto an additional floor of 45,000 sf. The transaction raises the firm's total space to 176,000 sf.

Jon Zuckerman and Keith Caggiano of CB Richard Ellis represented the property owner, MetLife. Peter Hennessey of the Staubach Co. acted on behalf of Hunton & Williams, while Tara Stacom and Paul Amrich of Cushman & Wakefield negotiated the lease for Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

Earlier this year, mutual fund company Dreyfus inked a 310,000-sf early lease renewal and signs on for another 40,000 sf in the Grand Central landmark. It is also home to Barclays Bank, Mitsui and CB Richard Ellis. Retail tenants include Café Centro, Fleet Bank, Godiva and New York Sports Club.
