The multi-purpose Munchkin facility contains 17,000 sf of corporate offices and accommodate a move as well as an expansion of the company's baby product line, along with a new pet accessory division called Bamboo. The building was designed by HPA, Inc. and constructed by Oltmans Construction Co. Phoenix-based Hewson, which also operates in Southern California, has also broken ground on a new Hollywood Social Security Administration building at 1122 Vine St.
The 19,530-sf office building will be a new location for the federal agency, which is expected to take occupancy in November, when the long-term lease of the premises is set to commence. Hewson serves as development manager for the build-to-suit project, with Big D Construction Co. handling construction and Wolcott Associates as primary architect.
