The Port Hueneme property, situated at Ventura and Hueneme roads, is a neighborhood shopping center and office complex that is adjacent to the Port of Hueneme and the CBC Navy Base. Besides the fully leased center, it includes a 4,000-sf pad that is targeted for one or two major retail tenants and available for lease, according to Rob Devericks of NAI Capital Commercial. Devericks, Bill Kiefer and Fred Ferro of NAI Capital Commercial's Ventura County office represented both the buyer and the seller.

Beachport Center tenants include Northrup Grumman, the Hueneme School District, St. John's Regional Medical Center and Wendy's. The center was built in 1990 by the Hertel Development Corp. of Ventura.

In the Simi Valley transaction, two local private investors bought a 9,746-sf office building on 2.3 acres at 1844 N. Sycamore Drive from Leonard I. Dauer for $2.1 million.

Gary Seaton of NAI Capital Commercial, who represented the buyers, says they bought the single story, freestanding building as a fully leased investment and plan future development for the excess land. The seller was represented by Ken Dauer of Kenco Realty.
