In the largest transaction, Haddad Apparel, a children's clothing manufacturer, purchased 60 Lexington Ave. in Bayonne, NJ, a 160,000-sf distribution/light assembly building. G&E's Zack Levy and Jason Levy represented the seller, Rashti & Rashti. With the acquisition, Haddad is expanding its operations in the Garden State.

In the second-largest transaction, G&E's Ben Shapiro represented Spring Air Mattress in a 109,000-sf, 10-year lease at the Triangle Industries Building at 690 Jersey Ave. in New Brunswick, NJ. The building's owner, Donald Heft & Associates of Watchung, NJ, was represented in-house by Ken Ruben.

The firm's Bob Sticht and Tom Kirczow, meanwhile, represented the Zinsser Co., a maker of specialty paints and decorating products, in the sale of the 70,000-sf building at 323 Campus Dr. in Somerset, NJ. The company continues to maintain its headquarters and other operations at another nearby location. The identity of the buyer was not disclosed.

And the firm's Peter Elfers and Craig Fitzpatrick represented AVR Realty in the leasing of 44,230 sf of high-tech space to a Swedish aesthetic dental solutions company at 800 Corporate Dr. in Mahwah, NJ. Elfers and Jeanne Sabo Rothenberg of Grubb & Ellis represented the tenant.

According to Elfers, 800 Corporate Dr. currently has 40,000 sf available. The building's space, which was formerly occupied by electronics giant Aiwa as its North American headquarters, is divisible to 12,500 sf.

Finally, G&E's Bob Shuster spoke for International Playthings Inc., a developer of educational toys, in a 119,000-sf lease renewal at 75 Lackawanna Ave. in Parsippany, NJ. International Playthings has been occupying the warehouse/distribution space for the past seven years.
