Yancey joins Cousins as vice president of development in the firm's industrial division. He reports to division president Forrest Robinson. Yancey spent eight years at CarrAmerica. He was also a vice president and senior project manager with Atlanta's Peterson Properties which CarrAmerica bought in 1996.

Yancey began his real estate career as an investment specialist for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. He has been a real estate professional for 20 years. "Earle's arrival moves us closer to starting our first industrial project in suburban Atlanta and helps tremendously in filling up the future development pipeline," Cousins' Robinson says in a prepared statement.

Cousins' industrial division and Cousins/Weeks, a venture of Cousins and locally based Weeks Properties, were both formed earlier this year "as a further diversification of Cousins' development skills," Robinson says.

Weeks Properties is controlled by Ray Weeks, former chairman and CEO of industrial developer Weeks Corp. which merged with Duke Realty in 1999. Robinson is also a Weeks Corp. veteran, having spent more than 20 years with the company, including seven years as president and chief operating officer.
