The education group will take 28,865 sf at Sunroad Centre, and will fill the space left vacant by Maric College, who is leaving this month. In that deal, Richard Gonor and Tony Russell of the local office of Grubb & Ellis-BRE Commercial represented Pacifica Enterprises LLC, the building owner. Keith Kropfl of Travers Realty represented the technical school.Gonor and Russell say that the International Education Corp. deal is an example of Sunroad Centre's viability as a good home for businesses. They cite the office building's "central location, freeway visibility, immediate proximity to five major freeways…and abundant parking and accommodating zoning as among its core attractions," according to a report released by Grubb & Ellis-BRE Commercial. Besides the deal with International Education Corp., the team of Gonor and Russell has represented Pacifica Enterprises in other transactions. The first deal is a 9,765-sf lease by Transwestern Publishing that netted nearly $1 million. The other is a deal signed by Sports Boosters for 3,184 sf that was for nearly $300,000.
