"The property is the eighth parcel on which we have closed title for the Landings at HarborSide," says Jeffrey Freireich, vice chairman and managing partner of the Kushner Cos. of Florham Park. Westminster Communities is the development arm of Kushner.
"We are thrilled with the project's momentum, which has been punctuated with a number of significant achievements," Freireich says. Among those achievements: the initial residential building, totaling 78 condos, is a virtual sell-out.
The project's third residential building will contain a total of 135 units. Upon completion after a projected eight-year build-out, the Landings at HarborSide will have 2,100 multifamily units, along with retail development, recreational facilities, parks, a marina and a hotel.
The project's sales and design center is open, and demolition and infrastructure work is well under way. Samson Electric had used the soon-to-be-demolished building as its headquarters and warehouse before relocating to South Plainfield.
