CASTLE PINES, CO-The Village at Castle Pines, an upscale retail center in this enclave of expensive homes that includes the private Castle Pines Golf Course that hosts the International golf tournament each year, will celebrate its grand opening Saturday. The 123,500-sf center is now 80% leased, says Doug Mitchell, leasing agent for the Village at Castle Pines.
Retail locations of 800 sf to 2,000 sf and class A office spaces of 1,200 sf to 3,000 sf are still available. Developed and built by the Urban Group, LLC, the 10-acre retail center's architect is Richard Hannum of Hannum Associates in San Francisco.
Fifteen merchants already have opened, with another 11 on their way. Mitchell says the group wants local retailers, rather than national tenants, to set this development apart from other suburban neighborhood centers. For example, instead of a Starbucks, the Castle Creek Bakery and Coffee Shop signed a lease in the center.
