Harp's appointment was one of six promotions announced recently at the Orange County offices of real estate firms. The others include the promotions of Matt Montgomery to senior real estate manager and Jason Knudson to project manager at Opus West; the promotions of Jonathan Thorpe to managing partner and Monique Mora to project manager at the Gale Co.; and the naming of Scott K Lunine as SVP at the Ontario office of Sperry Van Ness.
Montgomery has been responsible for Opus West's real estates activities in both Orange and San Diego counties and, in his new role, is responsible for the $350 million Campus Center mixed-use development of The Plaza-Irvine condominiums and The Campus Center apartments. Knudson, who has been instrumental in the construction of a number of Opus West projects, will relocate to the Los Angeles office to manage the construction of Opus Corporate Center at Valencia Gateway.
Thorpe will assume full responsibility for West Coast investments and operations at The Gale Co., where he has been since the company's inception in 1985, most recently as SVP. In his new role, he will assist with the international expansion of The Gale Co. and its New Songdo City project in Incheon, South Korea. Mora, who will be responsible for managing the company's development projects on the West Coast including Enterprise Business Park in Lake Forest, has been with The Gale Co. since 1997.
Lunine previously served as managing director for Sperry Van Ness and national director of retail investments, overseeing the company's growth in the Inland Empire and Las Vegas. During his tenure with Sperry Van Ness, his team has closed commercial real estate transactions valued at more than $2.7 billion.
