In another recent expansion, Ordway Sign Supply, a seller of equipment and supplies to sign makers and silk screeners, has acquired an 11,560-sf industrial facility at 16201 Vanowen St. in Van Nuys for expansion of its headquarters. Ordway, which has been based in Van Nuys for 20 years, paid $1.7 million for the property. Bob Hoyer of Van Nuys-based Delphi Business Properties represented Ordway, with the seller, Riga22Weg LLC, represented by Mike Sheptenko of TOLD Partners. Noting that the property sold for $147 per sf after being listed at $150 per sf, Hoyer said the sale "underscores a stabilizing of industrial real estate prices in the San Fernando Valley after an extended period of escalation. This is a healthy sign for the market." Located near Van Nuys Airport, the new headquarters for Ordway was built in 1998 and is a concrete block structure with ground level loading, 18-foot minimum interior clearance, and on-site parking for 20 cars.
