CHESTER, NJ-Continental Retail Development is planning to start construction right after the first of the year for the Streets of Chester, a 105,000-sf lifestyle shopping center at the intersection of Route 206 and Old Gladstone Road in this Morris County community. And the project will be fast-tracked--Continental is looking to have it completed and opened in time for the 2005 holiday season.

The tenant roster will include a mix of specialty retailers and restaurants, according to Jeff Ziegler, vice president of retail development for the Columbus, OH-based Continental Retail Development. No tenants have been announced yet, and no further details of the project have been released.

Headed by president David Kass, Continental has developed more than 15 million sf of mixed-use retail, multifamily and multi-use office space in the past 15 years. The company has a number of lifestyle shopping centers under development in several eastern and Midwestern states. One of the other projects is in New Jersey, the Streets of Marlton in the South Jersey city of the same name.
