De Boer plans to break ground by year end on two warehouses totaling 30,000 sf, a project that will allow the developer to showcase products such as event halls, hotel rooms, classrooms and prisons. The site is one mile north of Interstate 20, off Thornton Road.
"These display structures will allow us to walk clients through an actual structure versus simply showing them a concept on paper," says De Boer CEO Herman Vonhof. "This will give them a better sense of how versatile, functional and aesthetically pleasing our structures are."
De Boer has erected temporary structures at numerous high-profile events, including the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston; the Atlanta Symphony Hall Ball; the Southeastern Flower Show; and the Masters golf tournament in Augusta. The firm built the media pavilion at the Democratic National Convention site that provided 100,000 sf of workspace to 1,800 reporters.
