It is given to a graduate of the center whose work in the industry has "enriched the profession and/or who has demonstrated involvement in the community" through service or leadership." Clayton Lane, at the intersection of First Avenue and University Boulevard, is a 485,000-sf, $150-million mixed-use development on the former parking lot for the Sears Roebuck & Co. store in the heart of Cherry Creek North. The project includes more than 130,000 sf of new retail space to augment 180,000 sf of existing retail space, including a soon-to-open Crate & Barrel. A 55,000-sf Whole Foods Market is the anchor tenant.

It also includes 25 luxury condominium under construction, a class A 175,000-sf office complex for the world headquarters of Janus, the 196-room JW Marriott hotel and 1,600 new parking spaces.
