It is part of $66 million in construction going on at the Rose MedicalCenter. In addition, a $14-million, 129,688-sf office medical office building is under construction dedicated to oncology and women's services. A seven-story, $13-million, 650-space garage also is moving forward.
The expansion is considered good news for Denver, as three other Denver medical centers are moving most of their facilities to the former Army medical base in Aurora called Fitzsimons. Moving to Fitzsimons are University Hospital, the Children's Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
