Herrington Road Partners of Norcross has withdrawn its Gwinnett County zoning application after neighbors publicly complained the planned 167-acre project along GA 316 would have generated uncontrollable traffic, noise and school-crowding conditions and would be out of place in a municipality the size of Dacula.
Herrington had planned to develop 804 townhomes and 400 apartments on a rural site on Harins Road and adjacent to Dacula. Gwinnett County commissioners had planned to review the project next month.
