Pete Richardson with Dallas-based Henry S. Miller Commercial tells GlobeSt.com that the auction company bought a ready-to-go site at 1121 Cantrell Sansom Rd., paying "relatively close" to the $2.5-million asking price for the deed to a half dozen of metal warehouse buildings in the Blue Mound industrial corridor off Loop 820. The set-up will begin in November, he says, adding the plan is to occupy part of the terminal and lease the balance. The rate has yet to be set.
The terminal, previously housing Trailmaster Corp., will be the ninth permanent auction site for Nationwide Auction Systems, a 26-year-old company with annual gross revenues of more than $100 million. The company, which does 80 to 100 auctions per year at each site, sells vehicles, equipment, boats, repos and seizures for government agencies and private industry.
Henry S. Miller Commercial's Greg Trout and Richardson represented the buyer in the 90-day start-to-finish. all-cash close. Bob Scully and Jamie White, both with Trammell Crow Co.'s Fort Worth office, negotiated the deal for the seller, a local family trust.
