SYDNEY-Stockland, Australia's third-largest listed property trust, has launched a rival bid of A$7.46 billion (US$5.65 billion) for General Property Trust (GPT). The move threatens drawn-out attempts by Lend Lease to merge with GPT and may well ignite a bidding war.
