Jim Jacoby, who is completing the $2-billion, 138-acre Atlantic Station redevelopment in Midtown, has formed Alpharetta Town Center Partners with developers Michael Vlass and Michael Lant to go up against Opus Group, Kaircs Development of Buckhead and Hal Barry of Barry Real Estate Cos.
Alpharetta elected officials want to use the parking lots for a mixed-use project that could house city offices, retail shops and public spaces. The lots face South Main Street, Academy Street and Haynes Bridge Road. The city hasn't determined a groundbreaking date for the project or completed specific plans for the various components, city staffers tell GlobeSt.com.
