Friedman is the previous SVP and general counsel for Tower Investments, also based here, where he was involved in that company's redevelopment of properties in the Northern Liberties neighborhood and its effort to secure development rights for Penn's Landing. At AMC Delancey he will serve as in-house counsel and advise on legal issues related to operational and investment activity.
The company recently formed joint ventures with Bethesda, MD-based Ross Investment & Development in acquiring a multifamily property in Gaithersburg, MD, and with Paramount Hotel Group of Fairfield, NJ in the acquisition of a hotel in Jacksonville, FL. According to Kenneth P. Balin, president and CEO, the company plans future acquisitions with both partners and "is actively pursuing additional relationships in major East Coast markets."
Georgann Berger McKenna and Eric Morgan are named to new posts, VP of human resources, and VP of strategic planning and risk management, respectively, at O'Neill. McKenna is a former SVP and director of human resources at Progress Bank. Morgan is the former SVP and chief credit and risk officer at Progress, which was merged into Fleet National Bank this February.
Mark Reda, founder of College Guidance Partnership in Allentown, joins Summit's brokerage division where he will represent tenants and building owners for the company throughout the Lehigh Valley.
