The USC appointment is Delores Conway, who becomes the new director of the university's Casden Real Estate Economics Forecast. Conway, a Ph.D., is associate professor of statistics at USC's Marshall School of Business, where she has been on the faculty since 1985. She is a specialist in financial pricing models and is analyzing data for the next Casden forecast on commercial real estate to be released in December. Conway succeeds Raphael Bostic, who is now director of the Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program at the USC School of Policy Planning and Development.

The new Younan executive is Yenshun Hsieh, who has joined the Woodland Hills-based investment firm as controller. In her new position, she will be responsible for creating and overseeing all accounting systems and controls. The new Younan controller has more than 10 years of accounting experience solely in the real estate industry, which "will help us create a strong and stable financial infrastructure to support our evolving company," says Zaya S. Younan, chairman & CEO. Younan says his company decided to bring its accounting functions under direct control rather than continuing to use third-party providers. Hsieh formerly worked for Stratus Real Estate Inc., where she was responsible for financial reporting and all accounting issues.
